I believe that what we think about most affects us deeply.

It's very easy to say "peace" and one may not think of having peace. In fact, they may be reminded that peace is far from them in that moment.
Peace is very expensive. You cannot pay any amount of money for it because its value exceeds any amount of money. When it is stolen, you find yourself at a great loss.
Today on Spiritual Sunday, I want to share with you how I glean peace.
The Bible says in Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character],
Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. (Amplified Version)
This is how I strive to stay in or close to peace. It works for me. Sometimes the sacrifice is letting go of all those other things that press on my mind and attention that seem important, but even in their importance, I consider that my peace could be at stake. Then I ask myself, for one of my most valuable assets, am I willing to move my mind from Him and risk losing my peace, or will I focus on my pressing issue or curiosity instead? I admit, it is a constant battle that I have not yet fully mastered. The blessing is that many times, when I chose to stay focused on Him, I am led to a solution for the issue or the enticing curiosity is less so.
One of the most exciting points of the scripture above is that all I have to do is stay focused on God, it is His job to supply the peace. I know He has an infinite supply of it so it can never run out! Another thing I'm pretty sure about is if I find my supply of peace is low, I depleted it by moving my focus. It's not low because He ran out.
If you're looking to glean peace today and you find you don't have any or it's in short supply, what else is on your mind? Would you be willing to refocus? He has much to give!
