Sometimes, you need a station break to have a word from your sponsors. I currently do not have any sponsors, so I needed to take a bit of a break in order to hear a word from my source.
From my last post back in September, I talked about how many library workers are part-time and many times can work multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Yes, we librarians do love libraries, but I'm willing to bet that most librarians would prefer to work at one full-time, rather than many part-time. I am a librarian that works part-time at a couple of different locations. My schedule is very busy and I typically work six days weekly. I am not complaining. I'm stating facts. When I take time off, it is not paid. So I'm very measured in when and how I take time off. Make no mistake, you should always take some time if you need it. It's always good to rest and spend time at home with family.
There are so many topics I'd like to share, but I'm open to discussing all time of things concerning library, reading, self-care, spirit, and lifestyle. There is no demand for constant conversation. It's okay to have time for reflection too.
My goal is to post often, but posting is not my full-time job, yet. So when I'm not posting weekly, it doesn't mean I've abandoned the site. It most likely means, that I'm busy at work or need a rest. Thank you for your grace.
Next time, maybe we'll talk about graphic novels...(how fun!)
